Is This Exactly What the USA Needs? (3 min read)
American Magic is partnering with Nautor Swan to build the new ClubSwan 28 in Pensacola, keeping the team active while the next America’s Cup cycle takes shape. The Magenta Project Brings Data to the Table (2 min read)
The Magenta Project has launched its “2×25” survey to dig into discrimination across sailing and the maritime industry. With backing from World Sailing and 11th Hour Racing, it’s collecting fresh data on sexism, racism, ageism, and more to figure out exactly where the gaps are. It builds on the 2019 report that showed 59 percent of women had faced discrimination. This time the focus is broader, and the goal is clear: real change starts with real numbers.

Want to track engine temp, oil pressure, RPMs, and fuel levels from your phone without spending a fortune? Rob Ferenczi walks through how he rigged up a DIY smart engine monitoring system using a Raspberry Pi, an ESP32 microcontroller, and a handful of cheap sensors. It’s nerdy, it’s clever, and it turns your boat into a mini mission control. If you’re into open-source tinkering or just want more reliable alarms, this is boat geek gold.
